This Privacy Policy explains what information RugbyCritic ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information you provide

If you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you rate matches, make predictions, or post comments, that content is stored against your account and shown publicly on the Site. If you contact us through the Contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit, solely to respond to you.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider's servers automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting purposes. We use WordPress's standard cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your comment details between visits — these are functional, not tracking, cookies. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies; if that changes, we'll update this policy to say so.

3. How we use your information

To provide and maintain your account and the features you use (ratings, predictions, comments, leaderboards); to respond to messages you send us; to keep the Site secure and prevent abuse; and to improve the Site over time. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Site (such as our hosting provider and email delivery service), and only as needed for them to provide that service, or when required by law. If you follow a link to a third-party sportsbook or partner site, that site's own privacy policy applies to any information you provide there — we don't control it.

5. Your choices

You can review and update your account information at any time while logged in, or request that we delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us. Public content you've posted (comments, ratings) may be anonymized rather than fully removed where deleting it would break the display of other users' content (e.g., a match's comment thread).

6. Children's privacy

RugbyCritic is not directed at children, and due to its sports-betting-adjacent content is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
